smoothie kick

Smoothies have been our thing lately. We've enjoyed one almost every night for the past 2 weeks. I just thought I'd share some of our favorite smoothie recipes that we've come up with so far.

Stranana
1 Cup of frozen or fresh Strawberries
1 medium sized Banana
1 scoop of Whey Protein
1 6oz container of Strawberry Banana Yogurt
1/4 to 1/3 cup of juice (we've been using strawberry orange banana)
Handful of ice (more if you are not using frozen strawberries)
Splash of milk

Berry Plurple
1/2 Cup of frozen or fresh Strawberries
1/2 Cup of frozen or fresh blueberries, raspberries, or both
1 medium sized Banana
1/4 to 1/3 cup of juice (grape would be a good kind to use here)
Handful of ice (more if you are not using frozen fruit)
Splash of milk
Berry Yogurt [optional]

Ole Dreamsicle
1 Orange [peeled]
1/2 Cup of Orange Juice
1 6oz. container of Orange Dreamsicle yogurt
2 Tablespoons of Splenda or 1 Tablespoon of Sugar
1 Scoop of Whey Protein
1-2 Handfuls of Ice

Peaches for Free
1 Cup Frozen or Fresh Peaches
1 6oz container of Peach Yogurt
1/4 cup Orange Juice or Peach Nectar
1 Handful of Ice

All of these recipes serve 2.
